Sleep is the lover I fear II
Sleep is the lover I fear II is an adaptation of the typographic work Sleep is the lover I fear into a speech performance. The works arrange text fragments from Freud’s Traumdeutung as well as feminist science-fiction to create a narrative, that explores ideas around physicality, sleep, dreams and desire. In the performance these texts are combined with a layer of vocal improvisations on single letters referencing an early stage of language development and the playful babbling of a child learning to speak.
