Hysterie/History
The work investigates the historical phenomena of the hysterical women. The series of prints use the techniques of letterpress printing and photo-etching. They reference the iconographic medical publications from the Salpetriere, a psychiatry in Paris that had a deep impact in the research of the hysterical body. The prints re-imagine and re-arrange the photographic plates and text-fragments of these publications, creating a new poetic and more ambiguous historical narrative.
